Originally from Rockford, IL, Matt now lives in New Berlin, WI with his incredible wife, Dana. Matt is passionate about helping people step into the best version of themselves. He believes that no matter your story—your background, age, or race—God can redeem every part of your journey for your good. With a mix of encouragement and just the right push, Matt challenges those around him to grow through every experience—good or bad—and come out stronger on the other side.

Matt is a graduate of North Central University in Minneapolis, MN. He and his wife Dana are proud to be part of the team at Banner Church, serving under the leadership of Pastors Brandon and Amber Liebe. Matt leads as the Associate, Youth, and Young Adults Pastor, and Dana serves as the Connections Pastor currently oversees the Banner Kids ministry.

They’re also proud parents to two beautiful daughters, Jordyn and Averi and one handsome son, Tytus. With Averi’s birth, they became part of the #theluckyfew community—a journey that’s brought unexpected joy, perspective, and purpose.

At the heart of it all, Matt and Dana are passionate about building people, building the Church, and building a life that makes a difference.

Matt’s a big-time sports fan, loves deep dives into leadership conversations, and—alongside Dana—enjoys tackling DIY projects, home renovations, and flipping houses whenever they get the chance.
